Welcome to the Online Manuscript Submission Tool (OMST).
The main purpose of OMST is to electronically create uniform texts, which will mean a more
time efficient way of collecting manuscripts from contributors and making them camera-ready
for further stages. The idea depends on the existence of a paper, from which the
author can copy and paste to the online tool. It is therefore recommended that you
finalize your paper before
beginning your online submission session. If your manuscript includes images, please make sure that the size of each
image file is 500 KB max, in gif, jpg, jpeg, png or bmp formats.
Basic Guidelines:
1) The lenght of manuscripts should be 12 pages maximum (30 for keynote speakers),
including all sections.
2) Your text should be uploaded on a paragraph by paragraph
basis. All other accompanying figures, charts etc. should be uploaded one by one,
using the button on the interface.
3) The submission process
is likely to take ca. 45 minutes. The online tool does not have a "save & resume"
option, therefore you have to submit your manuscript in one session.
4) The online
tool is designed for PCs. (Mac and Linux users, click here)
5) The online tool will
take and guide you through 6 stages:
i. Main title
ii. Author(s)
iii.
Abstract and Keywords
iv. Introduction
v. Main Text (Sections, subsections,
charts, tables, conclusion etc.)
vi. Submit your paper
6) To enter footnotes, you should enter the footnote number in the original text
as a superscript. After copying the paragraph to the OMST, enter the content of
the footnote to the space provided in the relevant page.
7) If, for any reason, you are unable to use the online submission tool or fail
to submit your manuscript for technical or user related problems, you can send your
paper to eqt2009(at)imo.org.tr, in MS Word format, making sure that the text area
of your document is 16 cm x 24,7 cm. In this case, you will have to agree to the
format finalized by conference organization and editing staff, since there may be
some minor imperfections that may arise from the discrepancy between your operating
system and ours. However, all the authors will have the chance to review the edited
version of their papers and their feedback will be reflected on the final version
to the fullest extent possible.
